The Leeds and Liverpool Canal

On the Leeds and Liverpool Canal either side of Silsden, are some of the most outstanding sections of canal in the country, graduating from gentle rolling countryside into wilder moorland and diving through tunnels toward the Lancashire cotton towns. Towards Leeds, the canal is never dull and often breathtaking, especially at the Bingley five-rise locks.
